Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 06-6-15 to approve and authorize the sale of additional adjudicated properties at an absolute auction and to declare said adjudicated properties as no longer needed for a public purpose.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 06-06-15 on June 19, 2006 approving and authorizing the sale of certain adjudicated properties at an absolute auction and declaring said adjudicated properties as no longer needed for a public purpose; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance did not include all adjudicated properties and it is the desire of the Parish Council to amend said Ordinance to include the attached additional listed properties; and
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish continues to expend funds to maintain numerous adjudicated properties; and
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish desires to place these properties back into commerce by offering them at an absolute auction in connection with the Sale of Adjudicated Properties.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the adjudicated properties listed on the Exempt Property Assessment Roll for the Parish of St. Charles 2006 is hereby amended to add the attached list of additional properties which are no longer needed for a public purpose and the sale of said properties at an absolute auction to the highest bidder is hereby authorized.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute any and all documents required to complete the various Acts of Sale of each adjudicated property, including the attached list of additional properties, on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
