A resolution to grant permission to the East Side St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department to solicit contributions at the intersection of Highway 61 and Ormond Boulevard and the East Bank Bridge Park on November 13, 2005.
Body
WHEREAS, Louisiana Revised Statute 32:218 B provides for the solicitation of contributions by non-profit organizations on a public roadway; and,
WHEREAS, the East Side St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department has requested permission to solicit contributions at the intersection of Highway 61 and Ormond Boulevard and the East Bank Bridge Park on November 13, 2005 for the purpose of helping a fellow volunteer fire fighter and his family recover from the loss of their home due to fire.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby grant permission to the East Side St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department to solicit contributions at the intersection of Highway 61 and Ormond Boulevard and at the East Bank Bridge Park on November 13, 2005, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
