Title
A resolution to fill the vacancy in the office of Coroner of St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS,      a vacancy exist in the Office of Coroner of St. Charles Parish due to the death of Dr. David "Jerry" Vial on September 8, 2004; and,
WHEREAS,      in accordance with Article V, Section 30 of the Louisiana Constitution, the Governing Authority of St. Charles Parish shall appoint a qualified person to assume the duties of the office until filled by election; and,
WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish Council to appoint Dr. Earl J. Alleman, Assistant Coroner to the position of Coroner, St. Charles Parish.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby appoint Dr. Earl J. Alleman, 607 Oak Street, Norco, Louisiana, 70079, to the position of Coroner of St. Charles Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said appointment shall remain in effect until the office of Coroner is filled by election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, Secretary of State Fox McKeithen, and the St. Charles Parish Hospital.
