Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 82-11-3, a Lease with the East Side St. Charles Parish Volunteer Fire Department to expand the site leased for the Fire Station at 1901 Ormond Blvd in Destrehan.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 82-11-3 on November 1, 1982 approving a Lease with the East Side St. Charles Parish Volunteer Fire Department for the property located at 1901 Ormond Blvd in Destrehan for the purpose of constructing a fire house; and,
WHEREAS, by the letter dated May 23, 2000 the Fire Department is now requesting that the Parish extend the area of property leased along Blvd to allow for the expansion of the Fire Station to accommodate a new ladder truck; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said request.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Amendment Number 1 to the Lease of Commercial by St. Charles Parish to East Side St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute Amendment Number 1 on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
