Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers for the engineering, construction and inspection of the West Bank Mississippi Levee Bike Path from Davis Drive to the west guide levee of the Davis Diversion (Parish Project Number P020903).
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish had entered into agreements with State and Federal entities to have a bike path build upon the west bank levee crown of the Mississippi River; and,
WHEREAS, the United States Army Corps of Engineers has of yet to complete the design; and,
WHEREAS, in order to take advantage of various grant monies the bike path from Davis Drive to the west guide levee of the Davis Diversion requires engineering work to complete design; and,
WHEREAS, it is important that St. Charles Parish proceed with this project in order to increase the well-being of and enjoyment by its citizens.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers for the engineering, construction and inspection of the West Bank Mississippi Levee Bike Path from Davis Drive (Parish Project Number P020903) be hereby accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the Engineering Services Contract.

to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
