Title
An ordinance of the Parish of St. Charles providing that the Code of Ordinances, Parish of St. Charles, be amended by revising Appendix A, the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinances of 1981, as related to on-premise signs.
Body
WHEREAS, recently ordinance 99-12-3 was adopted by the council which created the AV-1 zoning district; and,
WHEREAS, ordinance 99-12-3 had amendments which affected the sign ordinance as related to on-premise signs; and,
WHEREAS, the intent of the ordinance was erroneously amended; and,
WHEREAS, The St. Charles Parish Council desires to correct and clarify the requirements for on-premise signage.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the St. Charles Parish Code Regulations, Appendix A, Section XXI.G. Requirements for On-Premise Signs, 2., be amended to the following:
2. On-premises signs in the C, M, M-S, and AV-1 districts shall be allowed at the rate of one (1) square foot of sign area for each foot of frontage of the site, not to exceed one ground sign for each two hundred (200) feet of frontage or fraction thereof, inclusive of Off-Premise and General Advertising signs.
SECTION II. That the St. Charles Parish Code of Regulations, Appendix A, Section XXI. F. Requirements for Off-Premise and General Advertising Signs, be amended by adding the following:
8. Off-premises and general advertising sign shall not be permitted on lots, which do not conform to the provisions of Appendix A, Section XXI.G.2.
