RESOLUTION NO. 5607
Title
A resolution requesting the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to construct a fly over ramp off eastbound Highway 90 connecting to northbound I-310.

WHEREAS, east bound Highway 90 traffic travelling to northbound I-310 must currently negotiate two traffic signals near I-310 costing time and money and is an inconvenience to the travelling public; and,
WHEREAS, construction of the fly over ramp will eliminate the need for the existing traffic signal which allows the eastbound Highway 90 traffic to cross westbound Highway 90; and,
WHEREAS, the elimination of this signal on westbound Highway 90 will save motorist time and money along with eliminating an inconvenience of motorist travelling westbound on Highway 90; and,
WHEREAS, the route of the future I-49 will not utilize the area of the proposed fly over ramp as once proposed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request that the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development construct a fly over ramp off eastbound Highway 90 connecting to northbound I-310.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Governor Bobby Jindal, Senator Joel T. Chaisson, II, Representative Gary L. Smith, Jr., Representative Ernest D. Wooton, Secretary William D. Ankner, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, and District Administrator Michael Stack, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
