IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Nelda and Ollie Mauduit have been married for 52 years and have resided in St. Charles Parish for 52 years, currently residing in Norco, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, Nelda has been a member of the Louisiana Volunteers for Family and Community for 13 years and enjoys every moment of volunteering and helping others; and,
WHEREAS, Nelda attended the Louisiana Volunteers for Family and Community Conference in Shreveport; and,
WHEREAS, Nelda and Ollie were nominated by The Happy Homemakers for the Great American Family Award from the Louisiana Volunteers for Family and Community (LVFC) for St. Charles Parish as well as nominated for the State award; and,
WHEREAS, Nelda and Ollie along with their children Kent Mauduit, Barbara Mauduit Kenney, Steve Mauduit, and Loren Mauduit were presented with the 2005 Outstanding Family and Community Education Award; and,
WHEREAS, Nelda and Ollie were named the "2005 - Great American Family" for St. Charles Parish.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
NELDA & OLLIE MAUDUIT
"PARISH OF PLENTY"
created in 1807 from the county of the
"German Coast", a parish of
unprecedented economic and social
development, known for its
hospitality, rural living and sporting
opportunitiesÂ… with the added
distinction of being located
