WHEREAS, the Hahnville High School Hi-Steppers Dance Team competed in the UDA National Dance Team Championship held February 9-11, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center, in Orlando, Florida; and,
WHEREAS, last year, in 2023, the Hi-Steppers competed in the Dance Team Union National Championship held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando and won First Place in the Small Varsity Team Performance. The team also took third in the Medium Varsity Spirit Showdown, and third in the Small Varsity Jazz competitions, making a trio of top three finishes; and,
WHEREAS, prior to the national tournament, the Hi-Steppers captured first place in all three categories at the Dance Team Union Regional competition; and,
WHEREAS, the Hi-Steppers earned Dance Team Union National Championship honors, capturing the top position in the Small Varsity Team Performance competition. They came in third in the nation in Spirit Showdown, and Jazz; and,
WHEREAS, members of the St. Charles Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance for capturing their second consecutive National Championship to the Hahnville High School Hi-Steppers Dance Team.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
