Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the St. Charles Parish Memorial Plaza (Parish Project No. CMPK0418), to decrease the contract amount by $2,158.05 and increase the contract time by 409 days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 20-5-12 adopted on May 18, 2020, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Engineering Services Contract with Linfield, Hunter & Junius, Inc. for the design and construction management of a Memorial Park to be located at 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway, Luling, LA.; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-8-4 adopted on August 9, 2021, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Contract with LA Contracting Enterprises, LLC, for the St. Charles Parish Memorial Plaza Project (Parish Project No. CMPK0418) located at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, 274 Judge Edward Dufresne, Luling, LA, in the amount of $1,399,825.00; and,
WHEREAS, It is necessary to issue a change order to add 409 days to the contract due to a delay in shipping which was Covid related; and,
WHEREAS, It is necessary to amend the contract resulting in an increase in the approved contract time from 120 calendar days to 529 days.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the St. Charles Parish Memorial Plaza (Parish Project No. CMPK0418), to decrease the contract amount by $2,158.05 and increase the contract time by 409 days and is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
