IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Taylor Christen Rebowe is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Norco, Louisiana with her parents Rusty and Darla Rebowe, and her siblings, Baileigh and Rustin; and,
WHEREAS, Taylor is a 2009 graduate of Destrehan High School where she was the recipient of numerous awards including the Harry Hurst Award in community service for assisting and mentoring young girls, the Rotary Scholarship Award for community service for starting a drive for underprivileged high school girls to have prom dresses and get their hair and makeup done for their prom, the American Cancer Society Award for raising money that went to gas cards for local cancer victims to travel to and from M.D. Anderson Hospital for chemotherapy treatment; and,
WHEREAS, Taylor also won two National dance titles, three Destrehan High School character awards for trustworthiness, compassion, and honesty, she was also chosen as a staff member of the American All-Star Dance Association as well as Lieutenant and Co-Captain of the Desty Darling Dance Team; and,
WHEREAS, Taylor is a graduate of Aveda Institute in Metairie, and currently is employed as a cosmetologist and/or makeup artist at a local salon. She plans to master the techniques of hair design and makeup artistry and become a renown stylist; and,
WHEREAS, Taylor enjoys fashion, dancing, running, working out, and volunteering to help others; and,
WHEREAS, on August 4, 2013, Taylor was crowned the 55th Miss Queen at the Annual St. Charles Parish Festival Pageant held at Sacred Heart School in Norco, and was also the winner of the People's Choice and Fashion Awards; and,
WHEREAS, Taylor will represent the parish at the 2013 Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival pageant on September 27-29, 2013, in New Iberia and also at several fairs and festivals throughout Louisiana.
