An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Construction Contract with Sealevel Construction, Inc., for Parish Project No. P120801, Randolph Pump Station Improvements (Re-advertisement), in the amount of $770,450.00.

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St Charles Parish on March 3, 2015, for Parish Project No. P120801, Randolph Pump Station Improvements (Re-advertisement); and,
WHEREAS, Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation, John Shires, P.E., the Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommended that the Construction Contract be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder, Sealevel Construction, Inc., in the amount of $770,450.00 as the base bid; and,
WHEREAS, installation of this project will be a contract comprised of construction improvements to the Randolph Pump Station including new mechanically clean bar screens and precast bridge, electrical controls and appurtenances. The Contract Work will be located generally at Randolph Pump Station near Des Allemands, on the West Bank of St. Charles Parish, Louisiana.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS,
SECTION I. That the bid of Sealevel Construction, Inc., for the construction of Parish Project No. P120801, Randolph Pump Station Improvements (Re-advertisement), be hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $770,450.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract documents on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this _____ day of ___________, 2015, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
