Title
A resolution of the St. Charles Parish Council calling for the governing authority of the Sunset Drainage District, which has failed in its duties and obligations ever since the time the Council removed the former governing authority and appointed and designated a new governing authority on August 5, 2013, to schedule and hold meetings of the District and to perform all duties and obligations incumbent upon it as required by law.
Body
WHEREAS, AG Opinion No. 14-0087 advised that the governing authority must perform all functions and responsibilities that are incumbent upon it; and,
WHEREAS, AG Opinion No. 15-0164 advised that the governing authority must hold meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby call for the governing authority of the Sunset Drainage District, which has failed in its duties and obligations ever since the time the Council removed the former governing authority and appointed and designated a new governing authority on August 5, 2013, to schedule and hold meetings of the District and to perform all duties and obligations incumbent upon it as required by law.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the resolution was declared adopted this day of , 2016, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
