Title
A resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism, Office of the Secretary, Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial, for the Thomas Jefferson Exhibit at Destrehan Plantation.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Economic Development & Tourism submitted a $7,500 grant request to the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Office of the Secretary, Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial; and,
WHEREAS, said funding will be used to design, develop, and create the Thomas Jefferson Exhibit at Destrehan Plantation; and,
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Office of the Secretary, Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial recently approved the funding request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL do hereby authorize the Parish President to accept a grant in the amount of $7,500 from the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Office of the Secretary, Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Charles Parish Council hereby authorizes the Parish President to execute the Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Office of the Secretary, Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial.
