Title
A resolution to approve the hiring of Ms. Julie Bordelon to research the Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant Application for funding for the Des Allemands Boat Launch Project.
Body
WHEREAS, on June 17, 1996, the members of the St. Charles Parish Council unanimously supported to officially begin the process of relocating the Des Allemands Boat Launch; and,
WHEREAS, on August 17, 1998, the members of the St. Charles Parish Council unanimously supported authorizing the Administration to have an appraisal of property in Des Allemands for a public boat launch; authorizing the Administration to begin negotiations with Texaco for the purchase of the property, and authorizing the Administration to prepare and submit an application to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for Wallop-Breaux funding for the project; and,
WHEREAS, the members of the St. Charles Parish Council supported authorizing the Administration to expedite procedures to acquire property from Texaco for the Des Allemands Public Boat Launch; and,
WHEREAS, it would benefit St. Charles Parish to contract for the pursuit of funding for the proposed project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of an agreement for the hiring of Ms. Julie Bordelon.

And the resolution was declared adopted this day of , 2000, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
