Title
A resolution supporting the application for funding of the Alan Arterbury Building HVAC Improvements through the Louisiana Office of Community Development's FY 2021-2022 Local Government Assistance Program.
Body
WHEREAS, Louisiana Legislature House Bill 2 (Act 485) allocated $150,000 per parish for the Local Government Assistance Program for fiscal year 2021-2022; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Alan Arterbury building, an essential government building located at 14564 River Road in New Sarpy, is in need of three (3) replacement rooftop air conditioning systems and associated ductwork, which is an activity that is eligible for assistance under the program; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish President and the Department of Government Buildings requests the Parish Council's support for the application to have this recommended improvement project included in the Louisiana Office of Community Development's FY 2021-2022 Local Government Assistance Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and support the application for funding of the Alan Arterbury Building HVAC Improvements through the Louisiana Office of Community Development's FY 2021-2022 Local Government Assistance Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said application and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project and subsequent grant award, including certifying requests for State disbursements.
