Title
An ordinance to authorize the Parish President to make full and final settlement in the matter entitled B&K Construction vs. St. Charles Parish 29th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Charles, Number 43, 734, Division "D".
Body
WHEREAS, B&K Construction filed a Petition for Damages against St. Charles Parish in the principal amount of $23,773.15 plus interest from May 28, 1991 and attorneys fees; and,
WHEREAS, As of July 31, 2001 principal, interest and attorneys fees total $51,950.95; and,
WHEREAS, the amount of $30,000 is the amount of monies agreed to by the parties to finally settle this matter.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to issue payment to B&K Construction and their attorney, Herman Hoffman, in the amount of $30,000.00 for final compromise of all claims between and among the parties.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2002, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
