IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Valarie “Val” Berthelot is a resident of St. Charles Parish, residing in Luling, Louisiana with her husband Darby. They are the proud parents of two children: Shelbi, married to Denton Robicheaux and Caison, as well as one grandson Lawson; and,
WHEREAS, Val began working for the St. Charles Parish Council Office as a Civil Service employee in 1990; and,
WHEREAS, Val was selected as the 2019 St. Charles Parish Employee of the Year; and,
WHEREAS, Val’s loyalty, dedication, professionalism, kind nature, and impeccable work ethic have set an exemplary standard during her 30-year tenure of public service to the residents of St. Charles Parish in providing support through 9 terms of St. Charles Parish government officials, consisting of 44 Councilmembers, 5 Parish Presidents, and 4 Council Secretaries, in addition to serving as Interim-Council Secretary; and,
WHEREAS, Val’s broad knowledge and experience has played a key role to ensure that Parish Council Agendas are prepared and documents processed with great detail in compliance with the St. Charles Parish Home Rule Charter; and,
WHEREAS, Val exemplifies an impressive level of excellence day in and day out without any desire of being accredited for these achievements. Today, we thank you and offer our sincerest appreciation for all of your hard work and commitment to St. Charles Parish.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby recognize
