Title
A resolution providing mandatory supporting authorization for a variation to the minimum street right of way width, street width, front yard setback and minimum distance of parking spaces from a dedicated parish street as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZS-99-59.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981 (as amended) requires both Planning & Zoning Commission approval and a supporting resolution of the Parish Council for variations to the subdivision regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the applicants, June and Paul Murray, Jr. and Stacy and Paul Murray, III have presented a subdivision plan to created 3 lots, to dedicate an existing street and to install and dedicate all necessary infrastructure, and,
WHEREAS, the proposed subdivision as shown on the plat by J. Michael Dixon and dated June 29, 1999 was designed to preserve existing large trees on the site, and,
WHEREAS, the subdivision as presented would require a variance to the required minimum street right-of-way width (50' to 40'), minimum street width (22' to 18'), minimum front yard setback (20 to 5') and minimum distance of parking spaces from a dedicated parish street (10' to 3'), and,
WHEREAS, the proposed variation from the subdivision regulations has received approval from the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, does hereby provide this supporting resolution for the variation to the minimum street right of way width, street width, front yard setback and minimum distance of parking spaces from a dedicated parish street as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZS-99-59.
