Title
An ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances for St. Charles Parish, Appendix A, Section XV. Amendment procedure, by changing E. Withdrawal of applications, to F.; and adding E. Rezoning prohibitions.
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
      SECTION I.      That the Code of Ordinances, Appendix A, Section XV. Amendment procedure, be amended by changing E. Withdrawal of applications, to F., and by adding E. Rezoning prohibitions as follows:
E.  Rezoning prohibitions:
1.      The rezoning of any property with a classification lower than M-1 to an M-1 zoning classification or higher is strictly prohibited adjacent to an existing C-2 or lower zoning classification.  The exception to this restriction shall only occur with the written notarized consent of all adjacent property owners which shall include property owners located across the street from such a proposed rezoning.  The rezoning of property to a M-1 zoning classification adjacent to a C-3 or higher classification shall only be allowed if the C-3 or higher zoning classification has been in place for five (5) years or longer.
