Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 11-2-12, which approved the Mitigation Participation Agreement by and between Chevron U.S.A., Inc. and the Parish of St. Charles for wetlands mitigation for the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee Phase II - Willowridge, to approve and ratify a reduction in the cost from $158,000.00 to $96,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 11-2-12 on February 21, 2011 approving and authorizing the execution of a Mitigation Participation Agreement by and between Chevron U.S.A., Inc. and the Parish of St. Charles in the amount of $158,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, after adoption of said Ordinance, it was determined that the number of acres of bottomland hardwood credits required could be reduced from 3.9 acres to 0.8 acres resulting in a reduction in the cost from $158,000.00 to $96,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to amend said Ordnance to reflect said changes and to approve and ratify the execution of said Mitigation Participation Agreement.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Mitigation Participation Agreement by and between Chevron U.S.A., Inc. and the Parish of St. Charles in the amount of $96,000.00 and 0.8 acres of bottomland hardwood credits is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the authorization for the Parish President to execute said Mitigation Participation Agreement on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles is hereby ratified and approved.
