Title
A resolution authorizing the Parish President to enter into an agreement with Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc., to act as the liaison for St. Charles Parish to the U S. Army Corps of Engineers to develop the criteria for St. Charles Parish to qualify for the SELA Reconnaissance Study and to work on the Feasibility Study.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish is trying to become a part of SELA in order to qualify for funding for the west bank hurricane protection levee and east bank protection pumping system; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish needs to be part of the SELA Funding System for interior projects associated with east and west bank hurricane protection levee projects. Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc. will search for grants and funding and St. Charles Parish will need funding for future projects from the U. S. Corps of Engineers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL do hereby authorize the Parish President to enter into an agreement with Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc., to act as the liaison for St. Charles Parish to the U S. Army Corps of Engineers to develop the criteria for St. Charles Parish to qualify for the SELA Reconnaissance Study and to work on the Feasibility Study.
