Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a professional service multi-phase project agreement with Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc., for providing all necessary professional engineering services for a project that installs new 48-inch and 54-inch storm sewers along Fifth Street from Spruce Street to Engineer's Canal in Norco. (Parish Project Number P190506).
Body
WHEREAS, the area in the vicinity of Pine Street in Norco has recurring flooding; and,
WHEREAS, the time of concentration for water discharging along Pine Street would be reduced by installing new storm sewers along Fifth Street from Spruce Street to Engineer's Canal; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed storm sewers would improve the flooding conditions along Pine Street; and,
WHEREAS, the attached agreement between Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates and the Parish describes the proposed engineering services and compensation for the proposed improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the following work phases will be authorized by individual task orders as required for the continuation of the capital improvement project.
Phase 1: Topographic Surveying
Phase 2: Preliminary Engineering Design
Phase 3: Final Engineering Design
Phase 4: Bidding Phase Services
Phase 5: Construction Phase Services
Phase 6: Resident Project Representative Services
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Agreement between Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc. and St. Charles Parish for services as required and assigned via Task Order by the Department of Public Works is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Professional Services Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
