IN   RECOGNITION

 

 

 

WHEREAS,                     Mayah La’Shae August is a resident of St. Mary Parish residing in Morgan City, Louisiana.  She is the daughter of Melony and Ronald August; and,

 

 

WHEREAS,                     on December 8, 2024, Mayah was crowned the 17th Festival of Charities Teen Queen at the annual Festival of Charities Pageant held in Destrehan; and,

 

 

WHEREAS,                     Mayah will represent the Festival of Charities at the Down Syndrome Association of Greater New Orleans (DSAGNO) Buddy Walk, and several fairs and festivals throughout Louisiana.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to

FESTIVAL OF CHARITIES

TEEN QUEEN XVII

created in 1807 from the county of the

“German Coast”, a parish of

unprecedented economic and social

development, known for its

opportunities… with the added

distinction of being located

on both sides of the

Mighty Mississippi River.
