Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Engineer's Canal Phase 1 Bank Stabilization (Project No. P190301), to decrease the contract amount by $52,995.00 and decrease the contract time by forty-four (44) days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19-3-9 adopted on March 25, 2019, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a professional service multi-phase project contract with Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc., for providing all necessary professional engineering services for an approximately 4,100-foot sheet pile wall along the southeastern-side of Engineer's Canal. (Engineer's Canal Bank Stabilization Parish Project Number P190301), in the not to exceed amount of $300,554.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 23-11-13 adopted on November 20, 2023, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Contract with Cycle Construction Company, L.L.C., for Engineer's Canal Phase 1 Bank Stabilization (Project No. P190301) in the amount of $1,405,350.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract Cycle Construction Company, L.L.C. to adjust the contract quantities with revised quantities, resulting in a decrease the contract amount by $52,995.00 and decrease the number of days by forty-four (44) days.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for Engineer's Canal Phase 1 Bank Stabilization (Project No. P190301), to decrease the contract amount by $52,995.00 and decrease the contract time by forty-four (44) days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
