Title
An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances Appendix A, Section XXI. Sign Regulations, D. Signs to be Allowed Without a Permit, by amending (6).
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Code of Ordinances, Appendix A, Section XXI. Sign Regulations, D. Signs to be Allowed Without a Permit by amending (6).
AS WRITTEN
(6) Political signs advertising political candidates and/or issues. The area of the sign shall not be more than sixteen (16) square feet. Political signs shall be removed within seven (7) days after the candidate or political issue is no longer a part of the election process.
AS REVISED
(6) Political signs advertising political candidates and/or issues. The area of the sign shall not be more than sixteen (16) square feet. Displaying of political signs shall not be permitted in advance of sixty (60) consecutive days prior to the date of primary elections and all signs must be removed within seven (7) days after the candidate or political issue is no longer a part of the election process. Upon the failure to remove such signs in a timely manner, the Parish therefore will remove and dispose of all such signs. These requirements shall not apply to any political signs advertising political candidates and or issues displayed on commercial billboards.
