Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 00-9-11 to change the New Sarpy and Destrehan Community Boundaries within St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 00-9-11 on September 5, 2000 which established Community Boundaries within St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to change the Community Boundaries for New Sarpy and Destrehan in St. Charles Parish.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 00-9-11 is hereby amended by deleting the Community Boundary for “New Sarpy” and replacing it with the following:
New Sarpy
Beginning at the intersection of the center flow channel of the Mississippi River and the boundary lines between Section 7 and 8 of T12S-R8E, thence proceeding northeasterly along the boundary lines and an unnamed drainage ditch parallel thereto, to its intersection with the East Bank Hurricane Protection Levee, thence southeasterly along the East Bank Hurricane Protection Levee to its intersection with the Dunleith Canal, extended to the East Bank Hurricane Protection Levee; thence south along the centerline of the Dunleith Canal across the Kansas City Southern Railroad to the centerline of the Canadian National Railroad (formerly known as the Illinois Central Railroad); thence westerly along the centerline of the Canadian National Railroad to the unnamed drainage ditch between Ormond Plantation Estates and the rear property line (or western side) of the lots on Ormond Oaks Drive; thence southerly along said drainage ditch and thence westerly along said ditch to a point at the centerline of the Avenue of the Oaks, extended; thence southerly along the centerline of Avenue of the Oaks, extended to the center flow channel of the Mississippi River, then northerly along the center flow channel of the Mississippi River...
