IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Abby Poche is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Ama, Louisiana with her parents Carl and Patricia Poche and sister Emily; and,
WHEREAS, Abby is a senior at Hahnville High School; has been a member of the Beta Club for four years; National Honor Society; and has maintained a summa cum laude grade point average for two years; magna cum laude for one year; recipient of three of Dow St. Charles Operations' Achievement Awards; has been on the Superintendent's List and Honor Roll for three years; on the Student Council, member of the band, plays tennis, member of Who's Who Among American High School Students, and tutors young students; and,
WHEREAS, Abby has been named Hi-Stepper of the year; most outstanding Hi-Stepper receiving the highest GPA on the dance team; Universal Dance Association All Star winner; a delegate for the National Youth Leadership Conference, U.S. Achievement Academy National English Award Winner; chosen as a member of the National Society of High School Scholars; and,
WHEREAS, Abby is a member of the Holy Family Catholic Youth Organization and serves as a lector at St. Mark Catholic Church in Ama; and,
WHEREAS, Abby plans to attend Louisiana State University majoring in Physical Therapy; and,
WHEREAS, Abby has been named the St. Charles Rotary Club's West Bank Young Person of the Year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
