Title
A resolution in support of the St. Charles Parish Eastbank Multi-Use Path, Phase V (Apple Street to the Bonnet Carre Spillway East Guide Levee in Norco).
Body
WHEREAS, an application was submitted through the South Central Planning and Development Commission on behalf of St. Charles Parish for funding through the Louisiana DOTD's Transportation Enhancement Program for the St. Charles Parish Eastbank Multi-Use Path, Phase V, extending from Apple Street to the Bonnet Carre Spillway East Guide Levee in Norco; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish was notified on November 24, 2009 that the project was selected to be included in the Transportation Enhancement Program; and,
WHEREAS, the project requires that St. Charles Parish provide matching funds (95% federal share/5% local share) as the local sponsor; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to support said project as the local sponsor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby certify that St. Charles Parish will assume full responsibility for the required local match; for design engineering, construction administration and testing; for managing and maintaining the project; and for any legal liability incurred as a result of the project.
