Title
An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 22, Section 22-80 to delete the January 1, 2004 sewer rate increase.
Body
WHEREAS, on June 18, 2001 the Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 01-6-04 adjusting the sewer user rate charges; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Wastewater, at the direction of the Parish President, has prepared the 2004 Wastewater Budget based on no rate increase in 2004; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish President and the Parish Council to eliminate the previously enacted 2004 sewer rate increase.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinances is hereby amended in Chapter 22, Section 22-80 (1) (a) by deleting the following:
"$5.31 (80 percent of $5.31 equals $4.25) per 1,000 gallons of water use on January 1, 2004";

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2003, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
