Title
A resolution supporting the establishment of a Housing Preservation Program in St. Charles Parish, and approving and authorizing the Parish President to submit a grant application for the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development 2017 Housing Preservation Program.
Body
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development is accepting grant applications for the 2017 Housing Preservation Program; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish is applying for grant funding to implement a Housing Preservation Program to fund the repairs and rehabilitation to dwellings within St. Charles Parish owned and occupied by very low-income residents; and,
WHEREAS, the grantor requires the applicant to secure support for the establishment of a Housing Preservation Program in St. Charles Parish and secure approval for the application for grant funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby support the establishment of a Housing Preservation Program in St. Charles Parish and do hereby approve and authorize the Parish President to submit a grant application for the 2017 Housing Preservation Program and to execute any and all necessary documents.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
