IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Andrew McCord is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling with his parents Thomas and Catherine McCord and his sister Rebecca; and,
WHEREAS, Andrew has excelled in academics with a 4.0 GPA and is the Hahnville High School Valedictorian for the graduating class of 2004; and,
WHEREAS, Andrew's activities and accomplishments include the following: Eagle Scout Award, Science Olympiad, Literary Rally, Beta Club, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, National Merit Qualifier, Superintendence List, Dow Chemical Science Award, Who's Who Among American High School Students, All-American Scholar Award, Highest Academic Average in English III & English IV, and a member of the St. Charles Community Band for three years; and,
WHEREAS, Andrew has received numerous scholarship offers throughout the United States; he will attend Tulane University on an Engineering and Computer Science Scholarship majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
