Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with DQSI, LLC, for PO-43a LaBranche Salinity Barrier Project, in the amount of $296,696.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on January 19, 2016, for the LaBranche Salinity Barrier Project; and,
WHEREAS, Moffatt and Nichol, Inc., Chris Williams, P.E., the Engineer of Record for the project, has reviewed the bids and recommended that the contract be awarded to the low bidder, DQSI, LLC, in the amount of $296,696.00; and,
WHEREAS, construction will be funded through a cooperative endeavor agreement with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of DQSI, LLC, for PO-43a LaBranche Salinity Barrier Project, in the amount of $296,696.00, is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract documents on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
