Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Pedal Valves, Inc. for the Automated Water Meter Reading Installation Program (Project No. WWKS 106) in the amount of $687,155.00.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 22-3-1 adopted on March 7, 2022, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and All South Consulting Engineers, LLC, to perform engineering services for Project No. WWKS 106, not to exceed $414,093.00; and,
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by the Parish on December 5, 2022, for the Automated Water Meter Reading Installation Program (Project No. WWKS 106); and,
WHEREAS, All South Consulting Engineers, LLC, has reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Pedal Valves, Inc. in the amount of $687,155.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Pedal Valves, Inc. for the Automated Water Meter Reading Installation Program (Project No. WWKS 106) be hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $687,155.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract documents on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
SECTION III. A final Notice of Contract shall be printed and filed in place of the contract documents with the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court and in the records of the St. Charles Parish Council.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this _____ day of ___________, 2023, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
