An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Construction Contract with Circle Construction, LLC for Parish Project No. P081102-5, Dunleith Canal Bank Stabilization - Phase IV, in the amount of $1,427,563.00 which includes the Base Bid, Alternate No. 1, Alternate No, 2, and Alternate No. 3.

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St Charles Parish November 10, 2014 for project P081102-5 Dunleith Canal Bank Stabilization Phase IV; and,
WHEREAS, Evans-Graves Engineers Inc. the Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommended that the contract be awarded to the low bidder, Circle Construction, LLC in the amount of $1,427,563.00 which includes the Base Bid, Alternate No. 1, Alternate No. 2, and Alternate No. 3; and,
WHEREAS, installation of this project will be a contract comprised of furnishing and installing sheet piling, clearing and grubbing, backfilling, sodding, hydro-seeding, and removal of existing damaged timber bulkhead located in the Dunleith Canal in the Ormond Subdivision of Destrehan, on the East Bank of St. Charles Parish, Louisiana.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS,
SECTION I. That the bid of Circle Construction, LLC for the construction of St. Charles Parish Project No. P081102-5, Dunleith Canal Bank Stabilization Phase IV, be hereby approved and accepted, in the amount of $1,427,563.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this _____ day of ___________, 2014, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
