An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a professional service multi-phase project engineering contract with EVANS-GRAVES ENGINEERS, INC., for providing all necessary professional, engineering services to design and oversee the construction of the transportation redevelopment phase & drainage portion of the infrastructure & public spaces redevelopment phase of Parish Project Number P140201; Titled PAUL MAILLARD RD (LA 52) CORRIDOR REVITALIZATION PLAN.

WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following project undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The drainage infrastructure and transportation portions of the redevelopment phases of the aforementioned project involves re-designing LA52 using the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) "complete streets" approach. The proposed "complete streets" improvements requires that all open ditch drainage be converted to closed drainage in order accommodate the roadway transportation improvements, landscaping, and the construction of a multi-use pathway and/or pedestrian sidewalk; and,
WHEREAS, the engineering services for Parish Project Number P141201 will include but will not be limited to serving as St. Charles Parish's professional engineering representative for the project; providing professional engineering consultation and advice, furnishing all required civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control engineering design services and supplementary services; providing for construction inspection and administration; closing out each construction project including furnishing stamped drawings to serve as parish "as built" plans as stipulated via contract or task order; and,
