A resolution in support of the St. Charles Parish Westbank Multi-Use Path, Phase V (LA Hwy. 3142 in Taft to the St. Charles/St. John the Baptist Parish line).

WHEREAS, an application was submitted for funding through the Louisiana DOTD's Transportation Alternatives Program for the St. Charles Parish Westbank Multi-Use Path, Phase V, extending from LA Hwy. 3142 in Taft to the St. Charles/St. John the Baptist Parish line; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish was notified on December 31, 2014, that said project was selected to be included in the Transportation Alternatives Program with maximum Federal funding in the amount of $1,267,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the project requires that St. Charles Parish provide the required 20% local match as the local sponsor; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to support said project as the local sponsor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby certify that St. Charles Parish will assume full responsibility for the required local match; for design engineering, construction administration and testing; for managing and maintaining the project; and for any legal liability incurred as a result of the project.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
