IN MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, the Almighty God, in His Infinite Wisdom, has seen fit to call from among us one of our beloved citizens; and,
WHEREAS, words cannot adequately express or convey the appreciation felt by all of us for the many years of dedicated public service rendered by Freddie Giangrosso to St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, Freddie Giangrosso has a special place in the history of St. Charles Parish because he served as one of the last members of the St. Charles Parish Police Jury and under his guidance and leadership the Parish successfully moved from a Police Jury to a Home Rule Charter form of Government; and,
WHEREAS, Freddie Giangrosso was a member of the St. Charles Parish Police Jury Ward VI from June 5, 1972 to May 31, 1976 and from September 18, 1978 to May 19, 1980; and,
WHEREAS, Freddie Giangrosso was active in church and civic groups for many years; and,
WHEREAS, Freddie Giangrosso will not only be remembered for his integrity and dedication to public service but for his kind and gentle ways.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, duly assembled on this 19th day of June, 2000, do hereby express our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of
FREDDIE GIANGROSSO
JUNE 25, 1913 - MAY 13, 2000
and do hereby convey our gratitude for his years of dedicated public service to the people of St. Charles Parish; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a page in the Official Minute Book of the St. Charles Parish Council be set aside to record this Memoriam.
