RESOLUTION NO.  ____________

Title

A resolution declaring certain movable property as surplus and authorizing its disposition by public internet auction.

Body

WHEREAS,                     St. Charles Parish departments periodically review its inventory of movable property to determine whether such property remains necessary for the efficient operation of parish government; and,

WHEREAS,                     the movable property described in “Exhibit A", attached hereto and made a part hereof, has been determined by the appropriate department(s) to be obsolete, worn, damaged, replaced, or otherwise no longer needed for public purposes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve that the movable property identified in “Exhibit A” as surplus property and no longer needed for public purposes.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the St. Charles Parish administration is authorized to dispose of the surplus property through the parish’s public internet auction service provider in accordance with LSA R.S. 33:4711.1.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Parish President or his designee is authorized to execute any documents and take any actions necessary to carry out the intent of this Resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any items that remain unsold after the auction may be placed in a subsequent auction or disposed of in accordance with applicable law and parish policy.

                     The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
