An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with Environmental Engineering Services, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. S141201, Ellington Force Main Relocation.

WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has plans to construction the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee, Ellington Section; and,
WHEREAS, A twelve inch (12") wastewater force main is located within the construction area of the levee and would be damage beyond repair during levee construction; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish requires Parish Project No. S141201, Ellington Force Main Relocation be constructed before construction of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee, Ellington Section, can begin; and,
WHEREAS, This project requires professional services for the design and construction administration for the relocation of the force main; and,
WHEREAS, it is important that St. Charles Parish proceed with this project in order to protect the property and well-being of its citizens.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Environmental Engineering Services, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. S141201, Ellington Force Main Relocation is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Engineering Services Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
