Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Amendment No. 1 to the Engineering Services Contract with Meyer Engineers, Ltd., approved by St. Charles Parish Council with Ordinance 98-8-20, for Parish Project No. P960319, New Sarpy Jack & Bore.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 98-8-20, adopted August 17, 1998, adopted by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with Meyer Engineers, Ltd. for Parish Project No. P960319, New Sarpy Jack & Bore; and,
WHEREAS, additional utilities were discovered in the area of construction for Parish Project No. P960319, New Sarpy Jack & Bore; and,
WHEREAS, FEMA granted an additional $144,086.00 in funding to help offset the cost of relocation for the additional utilities (see Attachment 1, Letters Requesting Additional FEMA Funds, and Attachment 2 FEMA Grant Letter) for Parish Project No. P960319, New Sarpy Jack & Bore; and,
WHEREAS, the Construction Cost and Engineering Services Fee within the Project Budget are modified as per the attached Amendment No. 1.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Contract for Engineering Services between Meyer Engineers, Ltd. and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby amended and approved.
SECTION II. That all other provisions of the Contract for Engineering Services, adopted by St. Charles Parish Council with Ordinance No. 98-8-20, shall remain in full force and effect except as stated herein.
