RESOLUTION NO. __________
Title
A resolution requesting the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to review and study the area on LA Highway 3127 and Fashion Plantation Phase II Subdivision, in Hahnville for the installation of turning lanes and a crossover to protect the residents.
Body
WHEREAS, Highway 3127 is a very heavily traveled roadway used by both industry and residents; and,
WHEREAS, with the continued growth in Fashion Plantation Phase II, the number of vehicles entering and exiting the subdivision of residents, students, buses, and contractors has increased; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed, said roadway is poorly lighted adding an additional hazard; and,
WHEREAS, Highway 3127 is also used as an evacuation route.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to review and study the area on LA Highway 3127 and Fashion Plantation Phase II Subdivision, in Hahnville for the installation of turning lanes and a crossover to protect the residents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be forwarded to Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, Senator Joel T. Chaisson, II, Representative Gary L. Smith, Jr., and Representative Ernest D. Wooton.
