ORDINANCE NO.                   
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with J. Caldarera & Company, Inc. for the construction of the Lakewood Drive Drainage improvements in the amount of $1,926,635.00.
Body
WHEREAS,      sealed bids were received by the Parish on August 14, 1998, for the Lakewood Drive Drainage Improvements; and,
WHEREAS,      Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc., consulting engineers for the project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, J. Caldarera & Company, Inc. in the amount of $1,926,635.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.      That the base bid, with no alternatives, of J. Caldarera & Company, Inc. for the construction of the Lakewwod Drive Drainage Improvements be and hereby accepted in the amount of $1,926,635.00.
SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
