Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an agreement to purchase the property at 202 East Oakland Drive to be used to expand and upgrade the Oakland Pump Station.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has entered into an agreement with Principal Engineering, Inc. to provide engineering services to upgrade and expand the Oakland Pump Station in St. Rose; and,
WHEREAS, the Oakland Pump Station is located at 206 East Oakland Drive as shown on the attached Figure 1; and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of 202 East Oakland Drive would benefit the expansion of the Oakland Pump Station; and,
WHEREAS, the owners of 202 East Oakland Drive expressed a desire to sell their property to the Parish in the amount of $167,000, which is the value of the property as shown in the attached appraisal.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to prepare an agreement to purchase 202 East Oakland Drive in the amount of $167,000.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2018, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
