IN   RECOGNITION

AND

DEDICATION

WHEREAS,                     Charles “Chuck” Oubre, III, was a lifelong resident of Hahnville, Louisiana; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Charles enjoyed Mardi Gras and was an organizer of HBA and rode with the “Krewe of HBA” in the Krewe of Lul parade for over 25 years; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Charles served as Captain for the Krewe of Lul parade for over 20 years, serving the organization as Treasurer, annually securing insurance for parade day, as well as, preparation of the parade line-up; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     throughout his life, Charles always served the community in a kind, humble, and dependable manner; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Charles was a special part of the Krewe of Lul organization, as well as, many other community organizations, such as, the Knights of Columbus, Hahnville High School Baseball, and American Legion, to name a few; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     sadly, Charles “Chuck” Oubre, III, passed away on July 16, 2022, and due to his passing the Krewe of Lul has dedicated its 2023 parade to Charles “Chuck” Oubre, III.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby honor

 

CHARLES “CHUCK” OUBRE, III

FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE AND DEDICATION TO THE KREWE OF LUL PARADE ORGANIZATION

 

 “PARISH   OF   PLENTY”

created in 1807 from the county of the

“German Coast”, a parish of

unprecedented economic and social

development, known for its

hospitality, rural living and sporting

opportunities… with the added

distinction of being located

on both sides of the

Mighty Mississippi River.
