Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Fleming Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of Parish Project No. P020101, Chestnut Drive Drainage Improvement, in the amount of $216,749.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on June 18, 2004 for Chestnut Drive Drainage Improvement; and,
WHEREAS, Meyer Engineers, LTD., Consulting Engineers for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Fleming Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $216,749.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Fleming Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of St. Charles Parish Project No. P020101, Chestnut Drive Drainage Improvement, be hereby accepted in the amount of $216,749.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ____________, 2004, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
