Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. Three (3) (Final) for the Bayou Gauche Pump Station and Force Main Project to decrease the contract amount by $33,163.80 and to increase the contract time by 66 days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 99-10-12 adopted October 18, 1999 by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Fleming Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the Bayou Gauche Pump Station and Force Main Project in the amount of $3,524,425.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 00-8-6 adopted August 7, 2000 by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. 1 that increased the contract amount by $113,879.37 and increased the contract time by 60 days to complete the missing section of the J. B. Green Force Main Project; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 00-11-9 adopted November 20, 2000 by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. Two (2) to increase the contract amount by $340,205.83 and to increase the contract time by 74 days for directional bore of force main to comply with the conditions of a DOTD permit, to complete the Hahnville Effluent Force Main left unfinished by Bartlett Construction Company, and to complete 950 feet of gravity sewer inadvertently omitted from the Killona Lift Station and Force Main Project; and,
WHEREAS, Fleming Construction Company was requested to isolate the force main from J. B. Green; and,
WHEREAS, Fleming Construction Company was delayed due to lack of servitudes from property owners; and,
WHEREAS, Fleming Construction Company offers a deduct to cost upon reconciliation of unit price items and changes to contractor for RPR overtime; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to decrease the contract amount by $33,163.80 and to increase the contract ...
