Title
A resolution authorizing the Parish President to execute agreements and documents pertaining to the Restore Louisiana Infrastructure: FEMA Public Assistance Non-Federal Share Match Program.
Body
WHEREAS, in August 2021, St. Charles Parish was affected by Hurricane Ida which resulted in a Presidential Disaster Declaration; and,
WHEREAS, the FEMA Public Assistance Program has obligated federal funding in the amount of 90% of eligible disaster related expenditures; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit has created the Restore Louisiana Infrastructure: FEMA Public Assistance Non-Federal Share Match Program, which will obligate the remaining 10% through Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for eligible project worksheets; and,
WHEREAS, in June 2023, St. Charles Parish applied for $941,309.13 in grant funds from the program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby authorize the Parish President to execute agreements and documents pertaining to the Restore Louisiana Infrastructure: FEMA Public Assistance Non-Federal Share Match Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Parish President is hereby authorized to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project.
