Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Providence Engineering and Environmental Group, LLC, to perform engineering services for the Raw Water Intake Structure Pile Bent Replacement Project (Project No. WWKS 112), in the not to exceed amount of $86,800.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish desires to replace deteriorating timber piles at the West Bank Mississippi River Raw Water Intake Structure with new piles; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Pile replacements will secure and strengthen the walkway of the West Bank Mississippi River Raw Water Intake Structure, and eliminate a safety concern; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish desires to promote workplace safety and this important maintenance project will do just that; and,
WHEREAS, the Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Providence Engineering and Environmental Group, LLC, describes the details of the proposed services and compensation.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Providence Engineering and Environmental Group, LLC, to perform engineering services for the Raw Water Intake Structure Pile Bent Replacement Project (Project No. WWKS 112) as required by the Department of Waterworks, in the not to exceed amount of $86,800.00 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2022, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
