Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of an Agreement Regarding Donations and an Act of Donation between St. Charles Parish and Monsanto Company (Monsanto).
Body
WHEREAS, Monsanto Company agrees to donate land along Paul Maillard Road in Luling to be used for the development of a Linear Recreation Park; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish submitted a Community Initiatives Grant Application to Monsanto for funding to construct a multi-use path and related improvements within the boundary of the donated property; and,
WHEREAS, Monsanto committed to providing $450,000 in funding for the Linear Park project; and,
WHEREAS, Monsanto has prepared the necessary Agreement Regarding Donations and Act of Donation referenced above and attached hereto and made a part hereof.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement Regarding Donations and Act of Donation and any all other documents required to carry out the provisions of this ordinance.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2018, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
